In 2009, while I was living in Jerusalem, Israel I went to sleep one night and had a dream that haunted me for months after I woke up. Like many of the dreams I have had in the past, I wrote it down in my journal and put it aside. Yet, no matter where I went the events of the dream returned to me in passing thoughts. This dream serves as the basis for the story.

Masoth, based on a combination of the Hebrew words Mas`aoth (מסעות) meaning "journeys" and Masoth (מסות) meaning "trials" reflects various elements of my life and the lives of others I have come into contact with. It is a perspective from someone who has stands between many different worlds and it is my hope that the reader will experience a wide range of emotions from a point of view that is rarely seen in science fiction literature.
